Triple Hot Chocolate Cake with Homemade Marshmallows.

Oh. My.

Tonight was our annual Faith in God Fireside we put on for kids turning eight. We had a meeting in the chapel, then a tour of the font, then time for d e s s e r t!

We make layer cakes, and have each ward bring one - after all, it's a birthday party!

I don't make desserts all that often at home, so once a year I go all out and come up with something fun and enticing, a real show stopper.

I Need Your Help

I need to teach a teacher in-service in a couple of weeks and my topic is "Classroom Maintenance."   Basically it would involve tips on how to get your [primary] class running as smoothly as possible.   Would it be helpful if the chairs were set up beforehand (by the previous class)?  Or perhaps having an attendance chart like in preschool?  

Any ideas?  

What has helped your classes run the smoothest and what are things that you think would help other teachers??
