My little guy is turning four! How can that be?
I'm planning a CARS/Hot Wheels/Racing type theme party. I've done some great parties for the kids before, maybe even fabulous . . . However, I've never done a BOY party!
Any ideas out there? Love to hear some suggestions! What has worked for you?

I love your invite idea! I did a car theme party a million years ago for Tyler in Florida. We made box cars for them to drive around a track that I made in the backyard - box cars out of cardboard boxes. They were able to color them. They had a blast. Look on FamilyFun.Com and I am sure they have a boatload of ideas for you!
I have the cars you make and paint. I had bought them for the reunion and they were never used. They are yours if you want them. They are just sitting in my craft room. PERFECT! You could then race them kind of like a mini derby. OK, you got me excited! Let me know if you want them. The invite is adorable.
Boys just love to run and play and get dirty! They'll love anything!! Cute, cute invite!
Sounds great! Cute invite. Because
lil James is a summer bday -HOT-
we always had water fun/pool party,
etc. Do relays- the party store
must have a 'race' theme -get some
checkered/car ribbon there :) ciao
Lisa does have the cars and kids would enjoy painting and racing them. Pin the tail on the donkey was a favorite and throwing balls threw a board that had holes in it. Then there is the frizbee toss...just keep them moving. There is the the piƱata. Maybe a game with stop sign, signals, etc.
Prizes could be hot wheel cars, kids never have enough of them.
