I'm sure most of you have heard about the horrific train wreck that occurred Friday afternoon.
Horrific is an understatement.
I used to ride that same train, nearly every day.
To think that it was caused by human error, human negligence, is beyond comprehension.
Life is so fragile.
My prayers are with those who are recovering, those who are mourning loss,
and those whose lives will no longer be the same.

This is a picture of my brother Steve (on the left) helping a victim out of the train.
- his expression is displaying disgust not for what he's doing, but for the photographers that were surrounding him . . . people were dying and yet there were many, many photographers just wanting to get the gruesome shots and not bothering to help save lives. Although this picture is scary, it is nothing compared to the carnage he had to deal with that day.

Wow I bet your brother saw more than most of us could even imagine. We heard about it on the news but not to many details
I didn't know you rode the train either!...it is so sad! That photo of your brother is classic! The photo of the man is horrific! His cut on his head is major! I just found out that Scott Arnold -did you know him? He was in second ward and married Sharla Jones...anyhow his 75 yr old father died in this crash! So dang sad! And... due to human error is just maddening!
OK, I am totally making that same face right now, but mine is because of that cut on that guy's head. That was a very sad day...week! We are still hearing stories aren't we! Poor people! My heart goes out to all their families!
