Reading these books can become hazardous to your health. A certain percentage of victims suffer from insomnia and starvation during reading. Some may also suffer from neglect, either of themselves, or others they normally care for. If you do choose to read, be forewarned that addiction is probable and you will not be able to put the books down.
Stephenie Meyer writes an extraordinary tale . . . I personally cannot wait for the 4th installment in this series Breaking Dawn to be released this summer. I am a bit apphrehensive, however, for the movie. Can Hollywood actually meet my expectations of perfection? When Stacey first mentioned Twilight, I thought to myself, "uh, Vampires, not my genre." Then Lisa was reading it and loved it so she lent it to me and I read it on my plane home from NY. I was hooked!
I recommended them to my neighbor last Saturday. She went to the bookstore that night and bought Twilight and stayed up all night reading it so she went back to the bookstore the next day and bought the other two and had them finished by Monday. She saw me outside and said this was her all time most favorite book. I'm laughing because my neighbor is extremely well-read as she is a member of book clubs, doesn't watch TV (only reads), is a teacher and involved with the literary community. I didn't know if it would fit her bill, but it obvisously did and we had a lively conversation on the sidewalk today! Next I'm going to have John read it so I can see if it can be appreciated by the male gender!

I may be the only one left who hasn't read these!! I may have to read them...I haven't had time to read since school started!!! I am always in the car driving everyone around!! Autumn got in to all day kindergarten next year (they offer it here for a couple hundred a month! And have a lottery to see who gets the spots...yeah I won something!)So I am hoping once all my kids are in school (having party in my head!) that I will be able to read more!
I loved these also! After reading these within 3 days time, my family was definitely neglected! Lucky for me, they like to read too & understood! I've enjoyed looking at Meyer's web-site for all updates & am sad that I won't be in the country to get her 4th installment... Hint... Hint... (sending to Japan doesn't cost THAT much!) :) My niece just named her baby Bella Rose (one month ago) & she had never even read or known about these books!!! She doesn't like to read.
I am still sketchy on this one. As
of right now I don't plan to read the series. I can hardly keep up on my stack of books as it is ;)
I do know of a woman who is totally
obsessed with these characters and
talks like they're real. She is in love with the guy and it's freaky!
Her sister (not me!)is very concerned for her.hahaha yikes!
The author supposedly is building a home up by us. We'll soon see.
I would like a man's opinion on this book -that would be fun ;)
After reading several blogs about how great these books were, I decided I needed to read them. So, yesterday I went to the library and got the first one. I read through Ashley's entire 2 hour nap...oops. I was supposed to clean the bathroom. So far, the book is great! Thanks for being the extra push I needed to go get it from the library.
I bought these for Megan for Christmas so I guess I will have to borrow them from her and begin my read. I am reading a great book right now it is called The Wednesday's Letters. I am only half way through but it is really good so far. I have my next three books lined up now. Thanks
I just started reading this series, and only on page 19. It sure does beat TV these days. Hughes has a new one coming out in May. He's my favorite and always includes some very interesting history with each novel. And I really like the SS class member study guide this year with so many helps for family discussions. Like in #6, Meeting sin is not the problem, but entertaining it...wow that says a lot about TV today.
